With Gratitude

In the fall of 2015, I was thrilled to receive a great opportunity to become Regional Director for AJC, the American Jewish Committee.  As I prepared to transition to my new role, We were absolutely stunned to find out that my COBRA payments would be in excess of $3,000 per month.  We were expecting to have to stretch our budget for the two months our family would be on COBRA, but this was well outside the bounds of what we could afford.  Fortunately, the Dallas Hebrew Free Loan Association was there to help us.  They made the process easy, were incredibly compassionate and ensured that during a time of professional transition, we could maintain our health insurance.  Thank you to the staff, board and donors of DHFLA for ensuring that I could accept this position, without having to wonder how I was going to keep my family insured.  It made all the difference in the world.
